What is Our Background?
DERICH Consulting Limited was established on April 22, 2023 by two directors who have over 15 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of donor funded projects and programmes in East and Southern Africa. The directors have working experience with government ministries, departments, agencies, regional, district, ward, and village authorities in Tanzania. Moreover, the directors have worked with private companies, local Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Faith Based Organizations (FBOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Notably, the founding directors have worked with various international organizations including five UN agencies (UNDP, FAO, IFAD, WFP, and WMO), and bilateral international development agencies of five countries (Japan, Canada, Belgium, Korea, and the UK).
Therefore, DERICH Consulting Limited was to a large extent established from experience and motivation of the founding directors to create a monitoring and evaluation company that offers high quality and affordable monitoring and evaluation services to promote data driven, evidence-based, and informed decision making, accountability, and learning from the development interventions.

At DERICH, Monitoring entails systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and using information to track progress toward objectives and to guide management decisions, accountability, and learning. On another hand, Evaluation means a systematic assessment of an intervention to measure its operational and results performance. Whereas, learning involves documentation of successes, best practices and lessons learned especially what worked well and what did not work well and why.
